Never flown by private jet charter and wonder if it’s the right choice for you?
Flying by private jet charter is an extremely convenient way to travel as it allows you to avoid crowded terminals, bypass security, arrive shortly before your flight and quickly board your plane. Further, private charters into major cities often use a private or regional airport, enabling flyers to avoid congested commercial airports. Lastly, there are many more private than commercial airports around the world which allows you to arrive closer to remote destinations. For business travelers and others with a busy schedule, flying private charter provides unparalleled convenience.
ElJet provides the entire plane for our client’s individual use and never sells individual seats on a plane. Once aboard you enjoy a serene and private environment.
This convenience does come at a price. Flying private charter is never less expensive than flying commercial economy class, even for a large group. In fact, flying by private charter is rarely less expensive than flying first class.
Although empty legs sometimes offer savings compared to full fare private charter, the reality is they are still more expensive than flying commercial. Learn more about Empty Legs.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does private charter cost?
Numerous variables go into the cost of a charter. The price of the same type of plane going the same route can vary significantly from operator to operator and even with the same operator from day to day. ElJet searches the marketplace to find our clients the best-priced options to fit their needs. Our quotes are inclusive of all taxes and fees (with the exception of deicing). To help you decide whether a private charter is within your budget, you can estimate the starting price of your itinerary (not inclusive of taxes and fees) by using use this simple equation – Flight Hours x $5,000. Please be aware that the above equation provides a rough estimate; the plane you want or require may run more or less on any given day.
What size plane do I need?
Plane size is determined by the number of passengers flying as well as trip distance. Smaller planes such as turbo props or very light jets, although perfect for a short hop of an hour or two, are unable to do longer distances without a fuel stop. Keep in mind, the bigger the plane, the more costly it is on an hourly basis. Our Travel Portfolio Managers will help you determine the correct size plane for your trip and needs. If you have preferences in terms of size, model, year of make or other features, please inform us so we can deliver the plane to your exact specifications. Learn more about Aircraft.
How far in advance should I book?
To get the most competitive quotes and to ensure availability, we recommend booking anywhere from 30 to 60 days before your departure date. If you have a last minute need, no problem; we can book flights within 24 hours of your departure.
How do I get a quote?
If you did not do so at the time of booking, please provide:
• Photo IDs and approximate weight for all passengers • Number and approximate weight of baggage • Catering Requests (charges may apply, see Catering
for details) • Ground Transportation Requirements (charges apply, see Ground Transportation

What is the process for booking a plane?
Bookings can be completed by PDF and returned via email or completed electronically via DocuSign. In both cases: • Indicate your selected plane (if multiple options are provided) • Sign and date all pages of the contract and fill in all required information. • Select your payment by wire transfer, credit card or check. • Provide your credit card information including expiration date, security code, and billing address. If you prefer to provide this information by phone please indicate so on the form. A credit card is required even if you are paying by wire or check. Your card will not be charged for your flight in this case (unless funds are not received in time) but will be authorized for incidentals, similar to when checking into a hotel. • Provide the photo ID associated with the credit card. We will confirm the receipt of the required documentation and the booking of your plane. Payment is required at the time of booking. Passenger and baggage information can be submitted at this time; we request that it be submitted at minimum five days prior to departure.
How can I pay?
Payment can be made by wire, credit card or check. Each quote lists the “cash” price, the price when paid by wire or check, and a credit card price, the industry standard 4% added. Regardless of the method of payment, we require a credit card to hold your flight as well as to authorize for incidentals. Payment is due at time of booking. Payment by check must be received a minimum of five working days prior to departure. If your booking is made fewer than three days prior to departure and you would like to pay by wire, the wire must reflect as incoming in our account otherwise a credit card must be used.
